Dining and Social Areas: From the moment you step into Discovery Place you will feel warmth and community spirit radiate through the whole campus. Our senior living community includes many common areas for residents to meet with each other and visitors. Our residence is always decorated for the holidays, seasons, and various events. The residents at Discovery Place enjoy gathering regularly in our main room for social activities and friendly conversation.
Our retirement community's culture encourages people to pursue their hobbies and interests in a welcoming setting. It's evident that our facility is buzzing with social activity, from visiting friends in the dining room to chatting in our multi-purpose areas.
Dining Room: It is open to all the residents and serves a variety of nutritious food prepared by our chefs on a daily basis. Seniors can enjoy their continental breakfast in their comfort with open access to our kitchen snacks all day.
Private Dining Room: Our private dining rooms are a perfect space for any kind of quiet meetings and celebrations. We welcome every single resident to come to take full advantage of the room, which is placed right beside the public dining room.
Social Areas: All senior residents get access to our large recreational room, where they can enjoy all the activities and events that we organize every day. This includes exercises, social and dinner outings, gardening, walking club, Bingo, singing, celebrations, entertainment, movies, crafts, games, supper club, tea time, and happy hour cocktail receptions.
Craft Room: Our craft room allows you to enjoy yourself with your friends while also getting some time off and indulging in creative activities. It is located on the second floor.
Communal Kitchen: Our communal kitchen is open to residents who want to bake or cook. This is often considered the heart of our senior living community, and this is the centre where many bake sales and craft markets take place throughout the year.
Outdoor Gardens: Residents can enjoy the expansive outdoor space at Discovery Place throughout the warmer months. Our residents will enjoy spending time with family and friends thanks to patios, enough benches, and shaded spaces.
Housekeeping and Laundry Services: We assist residents in living in a pleasant and caring environment. We endeavour to provide high-quality services at all times. Light housekeeping and linen service are provided to our residents every week. They can also have room service, personal laundry, and additional personal care for a small price.
Beauty Salon and Barber Shop Service: We have an on-site salon where you can get professional hair care.
Recreational Activities and Social Events: To keep our residents’ bodies, minds, and spirits healthy, vibrant and young at heart, we offer a range of recreational activities and services. Brain Gym®: This program focuses on improving the overall well-being of our residents with easy physical movements that keep the body and mind active. It offers brain stimulation that makes learning easier while possibly preventing the early onset of dementia. As a result, it’ll improve the overall well-being of our residents.
